Tica McGarity is a self supporting artist who has been producing original art for over twenty years. She has shown work in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Florida, Connecticut and Louisiana. Tica is a multifaceted artist, skilled in all painterly media. Currently, and for the past five years she has been exploring the possibilities of watercolor paintings, especially in the subject of Pelicans. Tica is an experienced portrait artist who brings together the spontaneity of caricature with the formal practices of traditional fine art. Tica takes a professional approach to her work in that she applies her skill, training and talent every day. Tica may be seen most sunny days, working on Saint Peter’s Street on Jackson Square in New Orleans.
